About Globeworks
A Minecraft Earth map server where nations, diplomacy, and player-built history collide.
Globeworks is a persistent geopolitical Minecraft server built on a 1:500 scale map of Earth, where players don't just survive — they shape history. It's a Towny-based SMP with a twist: every town you found, every nation you build, and every alliance you strike leaves a permanent mark on a living, evolving world. Globeworks keeps writing your story, one player-driven decision at a time.
Towns grow into nations. Nations forge alliances, open trade routes, and — sometimes — go to war. Borders are drawn by players, not by plugins alone, and the map you see today is the direct result of the choices a real community has made since day one. It's less "join a server" and more "join a world already in motion."
What makes Globeworks different
Most Minecraft SMPs lean on off-the-shelf plugins and call it a day. Globeworks is built around a suite of custom-developed systems designed specifically for a geopolitical, nation-driven world — tools you won't find on any other Towny server.
Our story
Why we built a new home
Globeworks began the way a lot of good communities do — out of necessity. Another SMP network we called home went in a direction we didn't agree with, and it left us feeling homeless in a game that's supposed to be about building somewhere to belong.
So instead of looking for the next server to join, we decided to build the one we actually wanted: a Minecraft Earth map server with real geopolitics, real consequences, and a community that shapes its own direction. Globeworks isn't just another Towny server — it's the home we built when we couldn't find one.
