A fullyâfledged nation diplomacy system, Discordâlinked politics, new races, new towns, and a polished website â Globeworks is evolving fast.
Day 5 Update
Today marks one of the biggest leaps forward in Globeworksâ political and nationâtoânation gameplay. Our brandânew Globeworks Diplomacy plugin â built inâhouse and tightly integrated with Towny and SiegeWar â is now live, bringing structure, clarity, and real consequences to international relations across the server.
Diplomacy: Nation Politics With Real Power
For the first time, nations on Globeworks have a persistent, serverâwide political system that governs alliances, wars, neutrality, siege permissions, and even Discord notifications.
Hereâs how it works for players:
- Every nation pair has a relationship state:
NEUTRAL,ALLIANCE, orWAR. - Alliances require mutual consent â one nation proposes, the other accepts.
- War declarations set the relationship to WAR but do not automatically start a siege.
- Sieges are gated: you can only begin a siege if your nation is formally at war and not Towny allies.
- Towny allies are synced automatically when alliances are formed.
- Peace requires mutual consent, and accepting peace ends any active sieges between the nations.
- Discord notifications announce major diplomatic events â alliance proposals, war declarations, peace deals â keeping the whole server informed.
- Audit logs track every action for moderators: proposals, acceptances, blocks, declarations, and more.
Players interact with diplomacy through commands like:
/diplomacy alliance propose @@BODY_HTML@@lt;nation@@BODY_HTML@@gt;/diplomacy war declare @@BODY_HTML@@lt;nation@@BODY_HTML@@gt;/diplomacy peace propose @@BODY_HTML@@lt;nation@@BODY_HTML@@gt;/diplomacy listto see your nationâs allies and wars/diplomacy allfor serverâwide relations
Behind the scenes, the plugin manages a relation cache, writes to MariaDB, enforces siege rules, updates Towny, and sends Discord webhook announcements â giving Globeworks a political system deeper than anything Towny or SiegeWar provide on their own.
This is a major milestone for the server, and it sets the foundation for meaningful diplomacy, structured conflict, and longâterm nation strategy.
Version Enforcement: Keeping Players Up to Date
Weâve added a new versionâcheck system to ensure players are connecting with the correct Minecraft version.
A surprising number of players were trying to join on older versions â but Globeworks runs on 26.2, and now the server will clearly warn anyone whoâs behind.
Silverstone Ice Track: Complete and Racing đâ¸ď¸
The massive Silverstoneâinspired ice boat track is now fully complete â and itâs already hosted several trial races.
Itâs fast, technical, and one of the most impressive community builds so far.
A full race day is coming soon.
Website Updates: New FAQ Entries
The website FAQ has been updated to include:
- LecternScanners
- Security Detectors
- TownyIgnore
- The brandânew Diplomacy plugin
Players can now get a clearer understanding of how these systems work and how to use them in their builds.
