Planned downtime, major backend improvements, SEO upgrades, and a new wave of Globeworks media content.
Day 11 Update
Today marked our first planned maintenance window, giving us the opportunity to apply important security updates and switch out several core plugins. The downtime was brief, but the improvements were significant.
CoreProtect Fully Replaces Prism
We’ve now completed the transition from Prism to our custom‑built CoreProtect implementation, designed specifically for Globeworks. Alongside the switch, we’ve deployed a developer‑only web UX that allows fast lookups, easy rollbacks, and streamlined restoration tools.
CoreProtect is already proving far more reliable than Prism, offering better recovery, clearer logs, and more powerful investigative tools. Prism has now been fully retired from the server.
We also added an updated maintenance countdown plugin — another Globeworks‑exclusive tool — to make future maintenance windows clearer for players.
Website SEO Overhaul
The website received a substantial update today to improve SEO, helping new players discover Globeworks more easily. This included:
- Converting dynamic pages into static HTML
- Separating styling into a unified CSS
- Improving page structure and metadata
- Enhancing consistency across screens
These changes should make the site faster, clearer, and more search‑friendly.
New YouTube Short Series
Our media team has been hard at work producing a 9‑episode YouTube Shorts series, releasing one episode per day. The series, Rating Towns in Globeworks, begins with a review of Chicago:

You can find the entire channel here:

And for anyone who missed the Day 10 celebration, the full event — including lights, lasers, fireworks, and races — was recorded live and is now available:

That wraps up Day 11 — a quieter day for players, but a major one behind the scenes as Globeworks continues to strengthen its foundation and expand its presence.
