A calmer day after the planned maintenance, but full of meaningful updates, new ideas, and important protections.
Day 12 Update
After last night’s planned maintenance, today has been a quieter one — but Globeworks never truly stops. We’ve restored a full backup of the server onto our development environment and begun exploring several new features that will add depth and identity to nations across the world.
Nation History Books Begin Development
One of the most exciting projects underway is the new Nation History Book system. Every nation will have its own historical record, documenting major events, milestones, conflicts, alliances, and turning points.
Players will be able to:
- Visit a location within their nation
- Read the official history book
- Track their nation’s journey over time
- See which events were significant enough to be recorded
Large, impactful events will also be published in the Globeworks Chronicle — our in‑game and website‑based newsletter dedicated to world‑scale happenings.
We already have an MVP working, but it will take a few more days before it’s ready for release.
Security Detectors Expanded
Our Security Detectors have been upgraded to allow detection of any item, not just predefined ones. This gives nations, towns, and event venues far more flexibility in controlling access and enforcing rules.
Nether Roof Enforcement
We noticed a few players attempting to exploit the top of the Nether, which is not allowed. We responded quickly:
- Players will receive a 5‑second warning if they enter the Nether roof
- If ignored, they will be instantly killed
This ensures fairness and prevents bypassing intended gameplay.
That’s everything for Day 12 — a quieter day, but one filled with meaningful progress, new systems, and continued refinement of the Globeworks experience.
