A skipped Day 13, a packed Day 14 — new systems, new spectacle, and a major milestone for Globeworks.
Day 14 Update
Day 13 was intentionally a rest day — and given its reputation as an unlucky number, it felt like the perfect moment to pause. But even with the break in news, development certainly didn’t stop. Day 14 has been full of progress, creativity, and major new features that push Globeworks into an entirely new era.
A New Arena Like Nothing Seen Before
We’ve been building a brand‑new arena — and this isn’t your typical Minecraft event space. This is a fully engineered audio‑visual experience:
- Synchronized lights
- Smoke effects
- Music speakers across the entire venue
- Fireworks shows timed perfectly to the soundtrack
This level of spectacle isn’t magic — it’s powered by new custom plugins we’ve been crafting:
- A sound‑system plugin for synchronous music across multiple speakers
- A fireworks editor for complex preset firework designs
- A timeline‑based fireworks show system, triggered by a special music disc
Right now these tools aren’t available to players, but you’ll soon be able to witness the full experience live on the server.
LecternScanner Bug Fixes
We’ve fixed a couple of small issues in the LecternScanner plugin. These improvements will be rolled out shortly to keep ticketing, passports, and scanning systems running smoothly.
Nation History Book Completed
The biggest update of the day: the Nation History Book system is now fully implemented and ready for deployment.
This extensive plugin records:
- Major nation events
- Resident changes
- Town status
- Alliances
- Wars
- Diplomatic shifts
- Structural changes
- And more
All stored permanently in a readable history book for your nation.
You’ll be able to place a librarian NPC who presents your nation’s history, letting players explore the story of your nation from its founding to the present day.
This system connects Diplomacy, Towny, LuckPerms, SiegeWar, and the History Book into one unified historical engine — built to expand as Globeworks grows.
Arena Trials and Upcoming Celebration
The new arena, fireworks system, and speaker network have already undergone several trial runs. Everything is functioning beautifully, and we’re gearing up for a major celebratory event in the next few days.
Player Growth Continues
Globeworks has now reached 46 unique players in just 14 days. The community continues to grow, and for the most part, players have been friendly, welcoming, and excited to be part of the world.
War and Diplomacy
War is inevitable on an Earth server — and we’ve already seen one conflict. Alliances resolved it quickly, and players generally prefer cooperation over chaos. Still, it’s a reminder of the geopolitical nature of Globeworks.
The Globeworks Chronicle Is Next
With the History Book complete, our next major project will be the Globeworks Chronicle — a news channel covering nation events, diplomacy, wars, alliances, and major world changes. It will be available both in‑game and on the website.
That’s everything for Day 14 — a day of spectacle, systems, history, and continued growth across the world of Globeworks.
