Today has been one of the biggest development days Globeworks has seen so far. A huge amount of work went into polishing systems, expanding features, and preparing the world for tomorrow’s celebration. Here’s everything that changed.

Unified Custom Sound @@BODY_HTML@@amp; Item Pack (Java + Bedrock)

We’ve now fully packaged all custom sounds and custom items into a single resource pack that works seamlessly on both Java and Bedrock.

This was a long process involving:

  • Multiple development deployments
  • Extensive testing
  • Several live‑server validation passes

But the result is worth it: Bedrock players can finally hear the Globeworks theme tune in the lobby and during server‑wide events. This brings both platforms together with a unified audio experience.

A New Special Crate at Spawn

A brand‑new special crate has been added at spawn.
Inside, players have a chance to win unbelievable custom kit, built using an extended version of another plugin we’ve customised specifically for Globeworks.

This crate is designed to be rare, exciting, and rewarding — a true showcase of what custom items can be. More on this coming soon!

Server‑Wide Broadcast Messaging System

We’ve introduced a new server‑wide broadcast system, allowing admin and operational messages to be sent across both the lobby and the Earth server simultaneously.

This is yet another Globeworks‑exclusive plugin, and it’s fully integrated with many of our existing systems, allowing broadcasts to be triggered automatically by other plugins and events.

Player Growth Continues

In the first 19 days, we’ve reached 63 unique players, averaging 3 new players every day — most arriving through word of mouth or from the many YouTube shorts created by the team and community.

Earth Server: Transport Routes @@BODY_HTML@@amp; Infrastructure Growth

Across the Earth map, we’re now seeing major transport routes forming — including large intercontinental bridges and tunnels connecting allied nations.

These routes use:

  • Ticket printers
  • Security scanners
  • Automated toll systems

They help recoup infrastructure costs and track movement across borders. This has sparked new development in connected regions — and even a friendly competition for the longest bridge on the server.

Preparing for Tomorrow’s Celebration

Tomorrow’s celebration will put the arena to the ultimate test:
