A spooky transformation across the world powered by yet more unique Globeworks plugins.
Update
At Globeworks we like to do things differently to other Minecraft servers, and today we launched our Halloween event where the entire world suddenly turned spooky. As always, this is powered by a collection of brand new Globeworks only plugins designed to make the experience unnerving, atmospheric and full of surprises.
A World Turned Haunted
The Halloween systems introduce a range of eerie effects:
- Blood rains from the skies, turning the world dark and unsettling
- Ghostly apparitions appear, and if you look directly at them you freeze in fear
- Spirits whisper as they watch you, and you may even hear them following you
- A random town is cursed every day, creating dangerous zones you may want to avoid
These effects run throughout October, creating a truly immersive Halloween atmosphere.
Trick or Treat System
We introduced trick or treat chests that spawn randomly around towns. Opening one gives either:
- A trick, or
- A treat
When you receive a treat, it is marked off on your Halloween card. Collect five treats and you earn a special reward. If you are the first to complete your card, the reward is even more special.
Spooky Builds by the Community
Players have already begun creating Halloween themed areas:
- Spooky City, built by the community, becomes almost terrifying when cursed
- Halloween Town by Yammtech, starting with a giant pumpkin
These builds add even more atmosphere to the event.
