Player Vaults Guide

Personal storage you can open from anywhere. Keep spare gear, building blocks, and loot safe without filling your ender chest or home chests.

The Basics

Player vaults are private chests that belong only to you. Open them with a command from almost anywhere on the server. Items stay in the vault until you take them out — they are not shared with other players.

FeatureWhat it means for you
PersonalOnly you can open your vaults (staff tools are separate).
AnywhereNo need to return home — open a vault in the wild, at spawn, or in a town.
Multiple pagesDepending on your rank, you may have several vault pages or numbered vaults.
SavedContents are stored by the server (file or database). Logging out does not wipe them.
How to Open Your Vault

Use one of these commands (aliases may include /pv, /vault, /chest, or /playervaults):

  • /pvOpen your first vault / default page
  • /pv 1Open vault page or number 1
  • /pv 2Open vault page or number 2 (if you have access)
  • /playervaultSame as opening your vault (page optional)
  • /playervault 2Open a specific page when multi-page vaults are enabled
  1. Run the command for the vault you want.
  2. A chest-style inventory opens.
  3. Move items in or out like a normal chest.
  4. Close the window — changes are saved automatically.

Good to know:

  • How many vaults (or pages) you get depends on your rank and permissions.
  • If a number does nothing, you do not have access to that vault yet — higher ranks unlock more.
  • Vault size (rows) is also set by the server; do not expect infinite slots in one vault.
How Many Vaults Do I Get?

Access is controlled by permissions such as vault amount and size. Typical pattern:

  • Default / free ranks — one vault, or a small number of pages
  • Donor / higher ranks — more vault numbers or pages, sometimes larger size

Check the ranks page or ask in-game if you are unsure how many you unlocked. Trying /pv 2, /pv 3, and so on is a quick way to see what opens for you.

Vault Signs (If Enabled)

Some servers let you bind a sign so you can open a vault by right-clicking the sign instead of typing a command.

  • /pvsign <number>Bind the sign you are looking at to that vault number (if you have permission)

Place a sign, look at it, run the command, then right-click the sign later to open that vault. Exact line format and permissions depend on server setup. If signs are disabled, use the command only.

Safety and Limits
  • Private: Other players cannot open your vaults through normal play.
  • Not a backup of everything: Very valuable items are still safer split between vault, ender chest, and secured bases.
  • Blocked items: The server may forbid some items from being stored in vaults (e.g. certain shulkers or restricted gear).
  • World rules: In some areas (e.g. under Nation Command Guard or event zones), vault commands may be blocked for visitors — store gear before you enter.
Quick Reference
  • /pv or /playervaultOpen your default vault
  • /pv <number>Open vault / page by number
  • /pvsign <number>Bind a sign to a vault (if allowed)

Common aliases: /vault, /chest, /playervaults.

Tips
  • Use vault 1 for everyday overflow and higher numbers for sorted storage (ores, building blocks, event gear).
  • Empty space in your inventory before big trips so you can dump loot into a vault quickly.
  • Before entering a strict event or airport scanner, move banned items into a vault so you can pass the check.
  • If a vault number fails to open, you likely need a higher rank for that slot.
  • Close the vault fully after moving items — don’t disconnect mid-transfer.
