Chat Conduct Guide
The server observes your conduct and use of language and takes automatic action when it finds profanities. This page explains how that system works.
Using language that breaks the rules can lead to warnings, mutes, temporary bans, or permanent bans — automatically and without a staff member having to be online at that moment.
If you’re unsure whether something is acceptable, don’t say it. When in doubt, rephrase.
The detector monitors the server
It does not delete or change your message. The original text still appears. Instead, when a match is found it runs a set of actions (warnings, mutes, bans, staff alerts, etc.) that the server has configured for that type of match.
Detected profanities are categorized, with each category having its own escalating ladder. Typical steps look like this (exact actions and thresholds are set by the server):
| Stage | What you might see |
|---|---|
| First offence | A warning in chat, and/or a short mute |
| Repeated offences | Longer mute or a temporary ban |
| Continued offences | Longer temporary ban or a permanent ban |
- The detector never deletes or changes your message — it only runs the configured response.
- Common deliberate misspellings and stretched spellings are still caught.
- Staff can be notified the moment a match occurs.
- If you receive a warning, treat it seriously — the next match in the same category is usually harder.
- Trying to “disguise” a word still triggers the system.
- When in doubt, don’t say it. A polite rephrase is always safer.
