Seven Wonders Guide
Nominate your best builds, rally support, vote, and earn your place among the official Wonders of the World. The most-visited wonders climb the ranking.
The community picks a limited number of landmark builds (by default, seven) to be official Wonders of the World. Players nominate a build by selecting its chunks, other players back it, and everyone eligible votes. Once a wonder is active, real visits from other players decide its ranking.
Every wonder's owner is worked out from Towny: the mayor of the town that owns the most of the selected chunks. Wonders also show up on the live map with a star marker.
About the numbers on this page: they are the standard settings. Server staff can change them, so if something differs in-game, the in-game message wins.
- Nominate. Pick the chunks that make up your build and write a short description in a book.
- Support. Other players second your nomination. You count as the first supporter. Once enough people have seconded it in time, voting opens automatically.
- Vote. Eligible players vote to approve or reject. When voting ends, the majority decides.
- Active wonder. If approved, your build becomes an official wonder, gets a map marker, and starts earning visits.
If a nomination runs out of time or fails the vote, the proposer has to wait out a cooldown before nominating again (see Defaults at a glance below).
There are no special permissions to learn. Nominating, seconding and voting are open to anyone who meets the server's rank and playtime requirements.
| Action | Default requirement |
|---|---|
| Nominate | Citizen rank (or higher) and 2 hours of playtime |
| Second | Citizen rank (or higher) and 2 hours of playtime |
| Vote | Citizen rank (or higher) and 2 hours of playtime |
Browsing wonders with /wonder list and /wonder info is open to everyone. See Ranks & Perks for how to rank up.
- Run /wonder nominate <name>, for example /wonder nominate Sunspire Palace.
- Walk to your build and stand in each chunk it covers. Run /wonder select to add (or remove) the chunk you're standing in. Gold particles outline your selection.
- When your selection is right, run /wonder confirm. You'll be given a writable book.
- Write your description in the book and sign it. Signing submits your nomination.
Changed your mind? Run /wonder cancel to abort your selection or pending description.
Chunk selection rules
- One connected group. Every chunk must share a full side (north, south, east or west) with another selected chunk. Touching only at a corner doesn't count.
- Size limits. By default, between 1 and 16 chunks.
- No overlaps. You can't select chunks already used by an active wonder or a live nomination.
- Town land or wilderness. Both are allowed. If no town owns any of the chunks, the wonder simply has no owner.
Good to know:
- Only one nomination per world can be in the support or voting stage at a time, so you may need to wait for the current one to finish.
- Long descriptions are fine. They're split across book pages.
A nomination needs backing before it can go to a vote. By default it needs 5 unique supporters (including the proposer) within 48 hours.
- /wonder listFind the nomination's ID
- /wonder second <id>Support a proposed nomination
- /wonder info <id>Read the details first
You can also second from the menu: run /wonder gui and click the PROPOSED: paper for that nomination. You can only second once.
If the nomination doesn't reach the target in time, it expires and the proposer gets a cooldown.
When a nomination has enough support, voting opens automatically and runs for 7 days by default. The server broadcasts reminders along the way.
- /wonder vote <id> approveVote to approve
- /wonder vote <id> rejectVote to reject
Or run /wonder gui, click the VOTE: paper, and choose the green (approve) or red (reject) panel.
- You get one vote, and it's final by default. If the server is set to confirm votes, you'll be asked to confirm before it counts. Add confirm to the command to confirm in one step.
- The people who seconded the nomination normally count as approve votes from the start.
- The majority wins. In the case of a tie, the nomination is accepted by default.
If a vote fails, the proposer must wait out a cooldown before nominating again.
Active wonders are ranked by how many unique players have visited them recently.
- How a visit counts: step into any chunk that belongs to an active wonder.
- Cooldown: the same player can only credit the same wonder once every 3 hours.
- Owner visits don't count by default, so you can't boost your own wonder.
- Rolling window: only the last 30 days of visits are counted, so rankings keep moving.
- The ranking refreshes in the background every 30 minutes.

Nominations never stop, even when all seven slots are taken. If your nomination is approved while the list is full, it always gets a slot. The wonder with the fewest visits in the rolling window is demoted to make room. Ties go to the oldest wonder by default.
A demoted wonder loses its active status straight away, and its owner stops receiving daily rewards. Visits decide who steps down, never whether a newly approved wonder gets in.
That means a wonder's place is never permanent. Keep it worth visiting.
The owner of an active wonder (the mayor of the town with the most selected chunks) can receive perks set up by the server:
- When the wonder is approved, one-off rewards may be given to the owner.
- Daily rewards are given at a set server time (17:00 server time by default) to owners of currently active wonders. If you're offline, they may be queued for your next login.
Wonders that are still being nominated or voted on, or that have been demoted, don't earn daily rewards.
- /wonder listList active wonders and live nominations
- /wonder info <id>Open a wonder's details
- /wonder guiOpen the main menu
In the menu, click an active wonder (shown as a book) to read its name, description, location and visit count. Papers marked VOTE: or PROPOSED: open the voting and support panels. If you've already voted or seconded, the menu tells you so.
You can also see every active wonder on the live web map.

I can't nominate
Check that you meet the rank and playtime requirements, that you're not on a cooldown from an earlier nomination, and that no other nomination is already in the support or voting stage in your world.
My chunks were rejected as "not connected"
Your selection has to be one connected block where chunks touch along full sides. Diagonal-only contact doesn't count. Stand in each chunk and use /wonder select; the particles show your outline.
My visits aren't counting
Visits only count when you step into a chunk of an active wonder, you haven't visited it in the last 3 hours, and you're not its owner.
My wonder was approved, but a different one dropped off
That's intended. When the list is full, an approved wonder replaces the least-visited active one. See What Happens When the List Is Full? above.
